Layer upon layer, drip by drip, a lifeform seems to emerge: anthropomorphic and animal-like, Gobo appears to have a body, legs and feet – at once recognisable and totally alien.

The drips that create the body, fall in three distinct strands before gathering to create ‘feet’ at the base, a feature that recalls the various paws and claws that graced chair- and table legs throughout the 18th and 19th Centuries.

A dripping red candle or a curious, unidentified creature – Gobo is playful and surreal, strange and familiar, a joyful piece of design and a sophisticated sci-fi sculpture.
